Some of the laboratory tests can be added to routine blood work and others are from specialty laboratories and require additional samples. Some specialty laboratories offer tests that can be done at home. Dr Bernstein has done a considerable amount of study and research to provide her patients with the most up to date testing methods at the most affordable prices. Some of these tests are covered or at least partially covered by most major insurances and others require more out of pocket expense.
These laboratories offer tests that identify various nutrient, hormonal and neurotransmitter deficiencies that are often at the root of the person’s symptoms. It is also now possible to uncover unique genetic predispositions so that one may be more proactive in reducing risk factors to various chronic disease states, including heart disease, osteoporosis, and cancer.
